I grew up in a jewelry store, three of them actually. I was trained and apprenticed to be a fine jewelry designer from a very early age. I even have a jeweler's torch scar on my back from when I pulled the oxygen house of the torch out of my father's hand at the age of 3 (cue Harry Potter music). I spent much of my adult life trying to do anything but what I was trained to do but once I had my own children legacy mattered. When I got bac into jewelry design, I noticed how boring jewelry had become. I blame this mostly on the CAD/3D printing trend where everything is made to mass produce and appeal to the lowest common denominator. I promised myself when I got back into jewelry that I would only create and sell pieces that are unique with their own expression. It is an art after all and that's what art is meant to do.

We have two studios, one in Florida to create when we're there for the winter and one in Maine when we're up north in the summer. Jonathan was trained by his parents who are award winning jewelry designers and internationally known and his wife Danielle is a gemologist graduate from the Gemological Institute of America.

For six years we lived full-time in a school bus we converted into a tiny home and traveled the east coast as jewelry vendors. Recently we purchased a house and another studio in Florida to allow us to expand our collection. Before that we lived on a sailboat in Florida and before that we were high school sweethearts. We still live in the bus in the summer as we travel north to follow the fishing tournament/boat show circuit. Our children Abraham, Axel, and Arabella are homeschooled and keep us very busy but make all of work in jewelry we do very worth it.

Here's a more in depth look at how we set up our jewelry for the shows and all that goes on behind the scenes.
This whole lifestyle started because of our first born Abraham. We realized once we were pregnant with him that we weren't quite ready to "settle down" yet. Thus a life on the road was born.
Because we spend most of our time in coastal regions, the mountains are especially enchanting for us. A regular stop for us in between our show circuit is the Smoky Mountains.
